In Benton County, Habitat for Humanity works to bring people together to make decent homes achievable for everyone in our community. We build because Habitat stories don’t end when our partner families become homeowners. Arguably, that’s where they begin. Benton Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are a community based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Habitat houses provide stability for families searching for a way to help themselves and their neighbors. We build so children can have healthy, safe homes where they can learn and grow to their full potential.
ReStore – Shop. Donate. Volunteer.
The Benton Habitat ReStore is a discount home improvement store that sells quality new and like-new furniture, appliances, building materials, and more. Our inventory comes from generous donations from individuals, companies, and community organizations. 100% of proceeds from ReStore sales support Habitat for Humanity’s programs in Benton County.
We accept donations that are in a safe, sell-able condition. If you have items that are not fit for resale we can dispose of them for a fee, just as you would pay a fee to go to the Landfill. Please contact us and ask an Associate for more details!
Benton Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We invite people from all incomes, faiths, perspectives and walks of life to work together in partnership, building homes and community with partner-families.
Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds simple, decent homes with partner families. After construction, Habitat homes are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest (0%) loans. The family pays back the cost of construction (minus labor) at less that 1/3 of their monthly income, including taxes and insurance. These monthly payments are recycled into a revolving “Fund for Humanity” that is used to help fund upfront construction costs for the next family. Because labor is donated, monthly payments are less than it costs to rent a two-bedroom apartment in Corvallis, Oregon. Your donation is recycled over and over as more families build their own homes.
